Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle ( IGCC )

EA works in the engineering of power plant projects based on new technologies.

Of special interest in this area is our participation in the engineering, design, commissioning and O&M support for the Elcogas project, a 335-MW power plant using state-of-the-art integrated coal gasification combined-cycle (IGCC) technology, constructed in Spain by a consortium of European utilities and equipment suppliens with the financial support of the European Union.

Additionally, the Conceptual Study for the Pilot Plant for the capture of CO2 and the production of hydrogen is under development to select the process and develop the basic engineering of the Pilot Plant.
