Of special note note is the project of the PS10 (Solúcar-Abengoa) Plant, an 11 MWe solar power plant. For this project EA has developed the basic engineering and participates as engineering support to the Owner for the detail engineering. Additionally, there is the project for the Vetejar 12.4 MW unit in Spain which burns agricultural waste in a fluidised-bed combustion boiler to generate electric power and produce steam for industrial use.

Another EA project of interest in this area is that of the 100 kW Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell Demonstration Plant, the largest of its kind in Europe, developed and built in Spain by a consortium of Spanish companies with funds from the European Union Joule and Thermie Programmes.
