Airport projects

The development of airport projects (Terminals, Platforms and Airfields) means that several engineering disciplines have to be mastered and integrated, as is often the case in EA projects in other fields of activity. Included are the performance of:

  • Needs Study and Space Allocation Plan
  • Functional Design
  • Basic Project
  • Construction Project

A differentiating aspect is our habitual use of state-of-the-art simulation techniques to optimise space allocation in terminals, and size and control complex installations and systems such as automated baggage handling systems, automated people mover systems and power systems.

Developed projects

EA , in colaboration with the EA's owner companies, has developed the following projects, amongst others:

  • New Terminal Area of the Alicante Airport: Terminal, Car Park and Accessways
  • New Terminal Area of the Malaga Airport: Terminal, Car Park and Accessways
  • Definition and Specification of Supply of the Automated Baggage Handling System (ABHS) for the new Terminal Area of the Barcelona Airport
  • Definition and Specification of Supply of the Automated People Mover System (APM) for the new Terminal Area of the Barcelona Airport
  • Definition and Specification of the Power System (Electrical and Thermofrigorific power) for the new Terminal Area of the Barcelona Airport
  • Modular Platform for the new Terminal Area of the Barcelona Airport
